No, EFT doesn't require you to narrate the traumatic event in detail for it to work.

Why don't I have to retell the whole story?

EFT works on your body's response to the issue, not on the narrative details of what happened. You can work on the feeling without walking through every specific.

What do I actually need to share?

Usually just enough to name the issue and rate how intense it feels. Some clients share more, some share very little, both work.

What if I want to talk about it eventually?

That's completely fine. The pace is yours to set, not something imposed on you.

FAQ

Will you push me to talk about things I'm not ready for? No.

What if I get emotional and can't finish a session? That happens, and it's not a problem, we work at whatever pace keeps you steady.

Can we work on a specific memory without me describing it out loud? Yes, that's a common and effective approach.
